Eat and protect genuine downtime before deciding whether Nexus is realistic. The default plan is to return to the apartment; the store happens only if the whole family still has energy.
Nexus is the better stop for comics, board games, trading cards and general nerd merchandise. Because it stays open late, it fits here without sacrificing daytime sightseeing.
Decision rule: Nexus requires four enthusiastic yeses after dinner and rest. Otherwise, skip it without debate and make Wednesday easier.

Leave Black Pearl around 8:05 AM and be ready and visible at Bus Stop 3 — Lækjargata, Lækjargata 4 by 8:15 AM. Expected arrival at the lagoon is around 9:30–9:45 AM.
The Comfort admission includes the lagoon, locker, towel, silica mask and a drink. About 1 hour 45 minutes in the water preserves a safe exit window for four people.

The confirmed 1:15 PM bus allows only a short food stop after changing. Keep lunch deliberately simple and be outside by 1:00 PM.
Be completely ready in the outdoor loading area by 1:00 PM. Expected return near Black Pearl is approximately 2:15–2:45 PM, depending on city drop-offs.

Choose a quick meal close to Black Pearl, then return to the apartment for a final restroom visit and warm layers before the 9:30 PM pickup window.
Confirmed for 2 adults and 2 children. EastWest begins pickup 30 minutes before the 10:00 PM tour in a small-group minibus. Be at Bus Stop 4 by 9:25 PM and expect drop-off around 1:30–2:30 AM, depending on the forecast and driving distance.
The later start is deliberate after a possible 2:00 AM return. Eat at Black Pearl while packing; if everyone needs more sleep, skip the zoo rather than compressing the morning.
Mjólk has confirmed that the front-door code works from 9:00 AM on arrival day and that the luggage area is on floor –1. The area is not locked, so leave only clothing and low-value items there; keep passports, medication, electronics and valuables with the family.
Secure fallback: If leaving even clothing in an unlocked area is uncomfortable, use the luggage lockers at BSÍ and remove the zoo from the schedule.
This is a small family attraction rather than a large American-style zoo. Keep it to about 75 minutes and go only if everyone is rested and the luggage drop is straightforward.

Eat near Laugardalur rather than returning downtown. This keeps the route moving toward Spilavinir.
Browse the board-game and puzzle shop only if the day is running on time. After a very late night, this is the second stop to drop after the zoo.
Retrieve the luggage and enter Room 11 using its private entrance up the stairs at the south end beside Apartment 10. Use the bathroom and take a protected breather before leaving for Perlan.
Sleeping setup: One 160 cm double bed and one pull-out couch for guests three and four. Confirm the €50 one-night couch charge and that the couch will be prepared.
A taxi is the comfortable choice after the hotel change and protects the 4:30 PM timed entry.

This can be the deliberate Icelandic meal, but there is also a very easy option near Mjólk.

Pack every carry-on Thursday night. Eat groceries or pre-purchased bakery items in the room; a sit-down breakfast is too risky before the workshop.
Check out with all four carry-ons by 9:15 AM, then take a prebooked larger taxi or van around 9:25 AM. The private workshop is confirmed for the two children at 10:00 AM and normally runs 30–60 minutes. Both adults may accompany them without booking because they are not making monsters.
Keep the bags with the family after returning to Mjólk and be waiting outside by 12:20 PM for the confirmed 12:30 PM private pickup. Do not assume the room or a hotel restroom remains accessible after checkout.

Eat the pre-purchased sandwiches while keeping the carry-ons with you. Do not start a full sit-down meal; there will be time to eat again after security at KEF.
Tulip Tours has confirmed in writing that the vehicle will pick up at Mjólk Hotel, Snorrabraut 54, carry four passengers and four carry-ons, and travel directly to Keflavík International Airport. FI645’s 4:50 PM departure is noted.
This leaves more than three hours for check-in, security, food and any tax-free shopping before departure.

Buy breakfast foods, drinks and tour snacks Monday at Krónan Hallveigarstígur, Hallveigarstígur 1, about a 9–12 minute walk from Black Pearl. The apartment kitchen keeps mornings quicker and prevents every meal from becoming a restaurant event.
Carry snacks on the Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon days. A few familiar foods can prevent an expensive family-wide hunger emergency.
The first day contains one short seated attraction, nearby walking and a protected afternoon rest. It does not pretend that a short overnight flight produces four refreshed people.
The family goes back to Black Pearl for full showers, hair care, dry clothing and rest. No one is being marched from mineral water directly to the airport.
Luggage goes to Mjólk first; then the zoo, Spilavinir and Perlan are grouped geographically. The schedule avoids crossing downtown repeatedly.
It provides room for jet lag, makes the game stores optional rather than mandatory and preserves a calm final morning without adding another full-day tour.
